Who We Are:

We are healthcare professionals with varying titles such as patient representatives, ombudsman or patient relations.  Our educational background can vary and may include healthcare administration, social work, nursing or risk management.

What We Are About:

The Ontario Patient Relations Association (OPRA), (formerly Ontario Patient Representatives` Association) is an association dedicated to individuals interested in patient advocacy.   We are a growing organization and provide a voice for advocacy for patient rights, ethics and measuring patient satisfaction data.  Patient representatives work in many healthcare settings including acute care, chronic care, rehabilitation, pediatric or mental health.

If you are a patient and have feedback or would like to discuss concerns related to your care at a hospital, please contact the administration of your hospital and ask to speak to Patient Relations or the representative responsible for patient concerns.
